Kiste is not yet signed with a paid certificate — that isn’t worth it yet for a young, free project. So on first launch Windows may say the publisher could not be verified. To run it anyway: click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
Compare the SHA-256 checksum of the downloaded file with the one shown above. On Windows, in the command prompt:
certutil -hashfile Kiste-Setup-0.9.38.exe SHA256 Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). No other software needed.
Kiste is released under the MIT licence. Programs you write in Kiste are yours: you may use, share and sell them freely, including commercially and without asking. Kiste’s licence does not carry over to your own programs.
Kiste bundles third-party open-source libraries, all under MIT, BSD or ISC licences. The full licence text and the notices for those libraries ship with every installation (LICENSE.txt and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md in the program folder).
